U.S President Donald Trump, has upped the ante on the Chinese government by claiming the Far East nation can deal with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un if they decide to and also revealed he plans to expand the nuclear capability of the United States to be the best in the world and surpass it’s closest military rival.

According to the Ploughshares Fund, an anti-nuclear group, and the Arms control association, Russia has 7,000 warheads while the United States has 6,800, a situation Trump wants to reverse, in order for the U.S to regain it’s military supremacy.

“I am the first one that would like to see … nobody have nukes, but we’re never going to fall behind any country even if it’s a friendly country, we’re never going to fall behind on nuclear power.” Trump said on Thursday in an exclusive interview with Reuters at the Oval office.

“It would be wonderful, a dream would be that no country would have nukes, but if countries are going to have nukes, we’re going to be at the top of the pack,”
Trump also talked about China and said he supports the E.U while also saying he will like to see Israel and Palestine settle their conflicts with a two-state solution.

“There’s talks of a lot more than that,” Trump said, when asked about the missile defence system. “We’ll see what happens. But it’s a very dangerous situation, and China can end it very quickly in my opinion.”
Daryl Kimball, executive director of the independent Arms Control Association non-profit group said:

“Russia and the United States have far more weapons than is necessary to deter nuclear attack by the other or by another nuclear-armed country,” .
Trump also said it was late to have a peaceful meeting with Kim Jong Un, blasting Obama’s inability to solve the North Korean headache during his administration.

“It’s very late. We’re very angry at what he’s done, and frankly this should have been taken care of during the Obama administration,” he said.

48-year-old Idemudia Charles a staff of the Nigerian Breweries Plc left his Lagos home on February 11, 2017, for a journey to his home town in Uromi, Edo State. He promised his wife and three children to be back three days later.

Two weeks today since Charles left home, the heavily built dark complexioned man is lying in a morgue in Edo State stone dead! A bullet lodged in his shoulder and fore head by suspected dare- devil kidnappers snuffed life out of him.

It was gathered that late Charles was always fond of travelling to the village to see his aged parents. On arriving Benin city, the Edo State capital that fateful day, he stopped to pick one of his sisters with whom he continued the journey to Ewhohi village in Uromi. But that was never to be, as the ongoing conversation between them was interrupted by sporadic gunshots which rattled motorists plying that route.

Like a Hollywood movie, a vehicle, barricaded the highway, close to Ehor, thereby forcing motorists to stop abruptly. Some gun wielding men then jumped out of the vehicle. While some of them kept shooting, others peeped into vehicles that stopped, until they got to Charles.

Eye witnesses said

“When they got to his car, one of them said yes, this is the man we are looking for.” One of them dragged the driver, a huge dark man, out of the car and took him across the road , into the bush. The gunman who took him was masked while others were not but as he was about to enter the bush, the masked man removed the hood. “Our phones were collected from us by the gunmen. After the operation, some of them entered the vehicle and zoomed off while others went in the same direction with their member who took one of the motorists (Charles) away.

Crime Guard gathered that Charles’ sister related what happened to members of his family who subsequently alerted the Police. A team of policemen who stormed the scene, recovered his vehicle and took it to the station while search for his rescue continued. Same day, the kidnappers contacted Charles’ family, demanding N100 million ransom for his release.

Negotiation according to sources from Ewhohi continued until the kidnappers settled for N5 million. Family sources hinted that “News of the kidnapped was revealed to Charles’ wife by his younger brother.

At first, the kidnappers demanded N100 million for his release, threatening to kill him if we did not make the money available. One of them told us that Charles could afford it, since he was paid N50 million from his place of work. We told them it was not possible, that he was just a supervisor in their security department. The following day (Sunday) they called my brother’s wife and told her to send them recharge card that they have been using theirs for negotiation since his abduction.
She obliged them. We started running around for money. One of our brothers had to travel to Lagos to get some money from Charles’ wife. Call to NB “On Monday, he spoke with us. This time around, he said we should go with one of his friends to meet his boss, one Mr Prosper, at Nigerian Breweries. The kidnappers started negotiating with some staff of Nigerian Breweries. Some staff of the company even paid token into Charles wife’s account. At the end of the day, we realised N500,000. But when we told the kidnappers, they asked if the money was meant for sachet water.”

By Monday the kidnappers called again and said that they were not shifting ground from N5 million. At that point, they gave my brother, Charles the phone. He begged us to rally round and get money for his release that he was not comfortable there. He told us that he had N500,000 in his account which he intended to refund to whoever would loan us , by the time he came back. When they called again, Charles started crying. He said they had shot him in the hand. He begged passionately that we should look for every possible way to raise money for his release. He gave us his pin number and instructed his wife to go and withdraw the N500,000 from his account. As he was talking, he was writhing in pains and we could hear them beating him. I could not stand his groaning at a point, so I switched off the phone,”

By the time donations from NB and those from relatives and friends, including the N500,000 withdrawn from Charles’ account were polled together, the distraught family was able to realise N900,000. Apprehension then set in, when they contacted the kidnappers to inform them of an increase, only to be prevented from speaking with Charles. Rather, they instructed that the money should be paid into Charles sister’s account in Benin, while one of his brothers should leave Lagos for Benin, from where he would withdraw the money and take to a designated point, before their brother would be released.

Crime Guard gathered that Charles’ brother was directed to several points where he was to drop the money without any sight of a receiver from the kidnappers‘ end. At this point, the negotiator became afraid, apparently thinking it could be a plough to kidnap him as well. He was said to have left the isolated place after waiting endlessly. Amidst the anxiety came a call from one of the kidnappers instructing that nobody should call them again in respect of the ransom. A family source who spoke on the condition of anonymity said:

“While our brother was at the designated point, the kidnappers called to ask where he was. But he said he did not know the place. They told him to give the phone to any child around so as to know his location. But he was too scared to do so because he just lost his wife last month.”

Uneasy calm pervaded the Uromi home of Pa Idemudia, following the unusual silence from the kidnappers. A member of the family was said to have called the kidnappers line consecutively, without any response. Sources hinted that

“at this point, his parents were agitated, so also was his wife who kept calling us to get an update. When we told her that the money had not been paid, she started crying and praying for her husband’s safe arrival. Then, we received a call from one of the kidnappers, informing us not to worry about paying the ransom any more. They said that the situation had changed and that we should go and use the money to buy coffin for his burial.”

Their worst nightmare was confirmed last Friday, after news filtered in that the remains of Charles was found along the highway. Anxious family members who went to confirm the claim, came back dejected and forlorn. On closer observation, Crime Guard was informed that Charles was shot on the shoulder and fore head. Family sources hinted that a farmer found the corpse in the forest and alerted policemen.

Efforts to reach Charles’ widow failed as she was said to have travelled with her three children to the village. But police sources at the Edo state Police command, stated that investigation into the kidnap and murder was on. Concerted effort made to get NB’s reaction failed as its Public Relations Officer, Mr Patrick Olowookere stated that he had no detail of the incident.

On Big Brother Naija this week, things would take an unprecedented twist as it would not be the normal business as usual. Unlike other weeks where nominations were based on votes, this week, the next contestant to be booted out of the house would be decided by Big Brother. As usual, the next evicted contestant would be known tomorrow.

The decision came after Big Brother exposed a plot between

Kemen and Marvis in a video he played on screen to the housemates. A furious Big Brother sentenced Kemen and Marvis to the isolation booth and also withdrew Bisola and Bally’s earned advantages. Meanwhile, Big Brother had earlier issued a warning to fake housemates, Jon and Ese, after he screened their conspiracy and scolded them for breaking the rules.

The gloom in the house was palpable as the housemates are now at the mercy of Big Brother, who will not be revealing the identities of the housemates for possible eviction to them but will share the information with the voting public.

However, a look at the nomination results shows that fake housemates – Ese and Jon – had the highest number of nominations. Ese was nominated by Uriel, Marvis, Debie-rise, Bassey, Efe and Kemen; while Bally, Uriel, Debie-rise and Kemen nominated Jon. Perhaps the surprising twist was that Thin Tall Tony (TTT) did not have one single nomination and Uriel recorded her highest ever nomination nods. TBoss, TTT, Ese and Bisola put her up for possible eviction.

However, these results will no longer hold, as Big Brother will make his selection for the week.

Some girls suspected to be students have found a juicy business in a newly opened hotel name (withheld) in Sabon Tasha, a suburb in Kaduna city where they dance Unclad for money to entertain people.

LEADERSHIP investigations revealed that, the girls in their early twenties have been hired by a new big hotel located along Post Office Road, Sabon Tasha to dance without cloth covering their body for 20,000 naira per one night performance.

Their correspondent who visited the newly opened hotel on a facts finding mission observed that, boys less than twenty years of age are not allowed to enter the Unclad room, while an adult pays N2,000 as entrance fee.

It noticed that, the hotel has become hot spot and side of attraction where married and single men trooped in the night to catch fun and reduce stress after hectic day work.
It further observed that,a bottle of beer in other ordinary sitting rooms attracts normal price, although beers in the Unclad dancing room are expensive as some brands go for N1,000 per bottle, while others cost N500.

One of the regular customers who gave his name as Step John, said he patronised the hotel to reduce stress and forget about the recession: “This hotel is like a therapy. I don’t miss the hotel especially Friday and Saturday club. Even if I am sick this place we cure me. Those Unclad dancers,i don’t know where they are from but I heard that some are from Ghana and others are from different parts of Nigeria. From the looks of things some are students of higher institutions”.

Aloe James, one of the Security guards of the hotel, said the management paid heavily to nake ladies, “Our management paid them very well. It seems some of the dancers are students. They are not from Kaduna State but they do come every Fridays till
Sunday before going back.

On Friday,if you come after 9pm you can’t get seat inside the room except outside. People complained about recession but my brother no recession here in the night.

People spend money here like sand. If there are enough customers who come and watch the Unclad dance, they pay each 20,000 and above,” he said.

However, the management of the hotel declined comment after several attempts.

A wedding in Saudi Arabia almost descended into tragedy when a guest came close to losing his head in the boisterous festivities. Footage shows a group of men performing a traditional dance as they take turns in firing guns skywards. One shooter's wayward aim blows the scarf clean off a stunned guest, a few more inches and the wedding would have been a funeral.
Luckily, the weapons used in wedding celebrations are normally only loaded with gunpowder, rather than bullets, so he was able to escape serious harm.
In the past, Saudis fired live ammunition at weddings, but the practice was banned in 2012 after people were killed by stray bullets. That year, 23 people were electrocuted after an electric cable was shot down by celebratory gunfire at a wedding in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province. Watch the video below:

25% of all drug overdoses in America comes from heroin
The latest numbers from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention show that one in four drug overdoses in 2015 was related to heroin. In 1999, just 6% of all overdoses were related to the drug.
When looking at overdoses overall, opioid-related deaths represented the majority. In 2015, overdoses involving opioids represented 73% of all overdose deaths, a significant jump from 57% in 2010. Opioids include heroin as well as drugs with a similar chemical structure, such as oxycodone and illicit synthetics like fentanyl.
Dr. Holly Hedegaard of the National Center for Health Statistics, who co-authored the study, also noted that this was the first time the number of overdose deaths in the United States exceeded 50,000.

In 2010, there were 38,329 overdose-related deaths, and by 2015, that number had climbed to 52,404. By comparison, in 2015, there were 36,252 total firearm-related deaths across the country. As with heroin, there was also a significant increase in deaths involving synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, the drug that was blamed for pop star Prince's death. In 2010, these types of drugs were involved in just 8% of all overdose deaths, and by 2015, they were involved in 18% of all overdose deaths.

While there were increases in heroin and synthetic drug-related deaths, there was a drop in overdose deaths involving natural and semisynthetic opioid analgesics, including prescription drugs like oxycodone and hydrocodone. Although these drugs were involved in 29% of drug overdose deaths in 2010, they represented 24% of all drug overdose deaths in 2015.

This shift in numbers may in part be due to a change in user habits, with some starting out with prescription drugs and moving on to heroin because of cost and crackdowns on illegal use of prescription drugs. However, Dr. Andrew Kolodny, co-director of Brandeis University's Opioid Policy Research Center, said that switching is only part of the story. "Starting in 2011, overdoses involving heroin has really skyrocketed. There's a really good chance the increase involving heroin has to be involved with fentanyl," he said.
