God Will Be Angry If We Restructure Nigeria, It's Not His Will - Pastor Gives Warning

A Nigerian pastor has issued a warning to those advocating for the restructuring of the country, insisting that it is not God's will.

Pastor Emmanuel Awojide, the Vice President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN), who is apparently irked by the spate of divided opinions over calls by some Nigerians to restructure Nigeria, has warned that God will be angry with the people and may send calamity upon them if they go ahead to restructure the country.

According to The Nation, Pastor Awojide said God who put the people and country in present circumstance knows why He did so, and as such, “No one should divide what God has joined together for peace and love”.

The Apostolic Cleric also took a swipe at killings going on in the country as a result of agitations, bombings, kidnappings, among others, and described Nigeria as a country full of religious, but unGodly people.

Speaking with Journalists at the 82nd annual convention, Kaduna area of the church, shortly after a sermon on the theme, “Come Thou and All Thy House Into The Ark”, Pastor Awojide noted that the spate of corruption in the country was already surpassing that of the days of biblical Noah where corrupt people were washed away by the great flood.

He cautioned that if God should visit anger on Nigeria, many will not escape the wrath because of corruption and killings taking place in the country.

The Apostolic Cleric however expressed the hope that the country could be better if the people and the nation could be Godly rather than being religious by putting a stop to evils in the society.

He said, “On restructuring, I want to disagree with those calling for the restructuring of the country because it is not the wish of God for the country to go in different directions.

“We must stay together because God will be angry with Nigerian leaders if they allow the country to be divided.

“It is against the wish of God for the country to be divided.

He also assured Nigerians that there will be no bloodshed in 2019 as against some insinuations that the general election will be bloody.

“But as men of God we will continue to pray against evil, and we believe that God mercy will come upon the country and the people. Therefore we must respond to God’s hand of mercy to avoid evils.

“Nigeria and Nigerians are religious, but are yet to be Godly because there is so much killings and destructions in the land.

“Corrupt Nigerians must repent or else the wrath of God and the law of the land will catch up with them.

“But ungodly people will perish eventually in hell fire, and Godly people will make heaven”.

PSG forced to sell eight players or face Champions League expulsion by Uefa

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN were reportedly told to sell eight players or face expulsion from the Champions League.

Spanish outlet El Pais claim Uefa acted after complaints from Juventus, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich among others that PSG had broken FFP regulations.

It goes on to state that Angel Di Maria, Javier Pastore, Blaise Matuidi, Lucas Moura, Julian Draxler, Hatem Ben Arfa, Serge Aurier and Thiago Silva were transfer listed within 48 hours.

Only two of the players secured exits – Aurier to Tottenham and Matuidi to Juventus.

The double sale raised £41million for PSG, which hardly puts a dent in their incredible £198m Neymar swoop.

But it appears PSG’s quick reaction was enough to ensure they were allowed to take their spot in the competition
And the Parisians initially signed Mbappe on loan, with a £162m price tag in 2018, to offset the costs.

The January transfer window comes around before the knock-out stages and the remaining six players may spark a Europe-wide bidding war.

Boss Unai Emery and his squad are apparently furious at the events, with the expendable players most upset.

PSG hammered Celtic 5-0 in their first European outing and face Bayern next in a mouthwatering tie, with the FFP row adding an extra dimension.

After the Neymar deal, president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “During the Neymar transfer I asked myself the question what would be more important: Neymar or the Allianz Arena.

“‘I have to say clearly that I prefer having the Allianz Arena which is also more important.

“We as Bayern Munich must have a different philosophy.

“Overall the Neymar transfer could cost even more than the arena.”

Emery’s side are also top of the league – a point clear of last season’s shock winners Monaco.

Good news for Nigeria as oil prices hit $57

Oil prices hit $57 on Monday after the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) maintained the decision to exempt Nigeria and Libya from the oil production cut.

Members and non-members of the organisation had first agreed on the production cut in December 2016 to ease the supply glut in the market. This caused prices to fall as low as $29 in January 2016.

As of noon on Monday, Brent crude was trading at $57.57 per barrel, an increase of $1.15 from Friday’s trading price of $56.42.

US West Texas Intermediate was trading at $50.91 per barrel, an increase of 29 cents from Friday’s trading price of $50.62 a barrel.

The joint ministerial monitoring committee of OPEC and non-OPEC countries which held in Vienna on Friday had agreed that the original agreement be maintained.

Some countries had expressed concerns about increasing output from Nigeria and Libya.

Emmanuel Kachikwu, minister of state for petroleum resources, who led Nigeria’s delegation to the meeting, argued that though Nigeria’s production recovery efforts have made some appreciable progress since October last year, Nigeria is not yet out of the woods.

“OPEC’s actions are working and compliance is acceptable overall, although there needs to be some change. Changes are really related to Libya and Nigeria and the 100 percent compliance of everyone,” Bijan Zanganeh, Iran ‘s oil minister, told journalists on Friday.

However, he did not elaborate on the kind of changes to be made.

President Buhari returns from London

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria from London.

Buhari went to London at the end of the of the 72nd session of the UN general assembly(UNGA) in New York.

On Friday, Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, had said his principal would return to the country on Monday.

However, he did not disclose the reason for the UK visit, fuelling the speculation that the trip might be health-related.

In this year alone, Buhari has spent at least 153 days receiving medical treatment in London.

While at UNGA, Buhari called on the international community to devise strategies to stop the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq (ISIS) from infiltrating the Lake Chad Basin.

Nigeria, Niger and Chad are among countries in the basin, where Boko Haram and its affiliates are a threat.

Buhari had also said the international community must be “mindful and focus on the widening inequalities within societies, and the gap between the rich and the poor nations”.

Chris Attoh Confirms His Marriage To Damilola Adegbite Has Crashed

Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh and Damilola Adegbite were once Nollywood sweethearts whom a lot of people envied their relationship. SOme months ago, news broke out that the couple were separated but Chris tried to debunk it, when he went on IG to celebrate their marriage anniversary, so bloggers calmed down! Fast forward now, in a chat with BellaNaija, Chris has now confirmed they are no longer together. He said;

"I believe throughout our marriage, It has probably been one of the most challenging things we have ever done, however, the key word is balance. At times when we both had to work, our parents would be there to hold the fort. God bless family because they were and still are very supportive.

However, since the divorce, we are obviously now reworking things to create a new balance between work, spending time with and raising our son. Dami is a wonderful woman and an amazing mother. Despite our differences, she and I will always be friends. So more than anything, we will find ways to continue to make sure that Brian can still have a balanced upbringing filled with love and support. Both our families have been and are still very supportive in helping us take care of our son Brian when we can’t be there due to work."

The couple got married February 14th, 2015. Their marriage was barely 2 years before they went their separate ways.

2018 Volvo XC40 Unveiled as a Small Premium SUV (Photos)

If you have the money and you are thinking of a car to buy, you might consider this nice Volvo product which is making rounds online.

2018 Volvo XC40

Volvo Cars, the premium car maker, has expanded its line-up of SUVs with the launch of its new 2018 Volvo XC40 small premium SUV in Milan, Italy.

At the same time as it introduces the XC40, Volvo Cars also reinvents the traditional model of car ownership with its new ‘Care by Volvo’ subscription service. Care by Volvo, first available on the XC40 from launch, makes having a car as transparent, easy and hassle free as having a phone. A monthly flat-fee subscription means down payments, price negotiations and local price differences belong to the past.

XC40 drivers will also be the first Volvo customers who can share their car with friends and family via Volvo on Call with a new digital key technology. Car sharing comes as standard for Care by Volvo customers.

The arrival of the XC40 means that for the first time in its history, Volvo Cars has three new, globally available SUVs in what is the fastest growing segment of the automotive market, paving the way for further growth in terms of sales and profitability.

The new XC40 is the first model on Volvo Cars’ new modular vehicle architecture (CMA), which will underpin all other upcoming cars in the 40 Series including fully electrified vehicles. Co-developed within Geely, CMA provides the company with the necessary economies of scale for this segment.

“The XC40 is our first entry in the small SUV segment, broadening the appeal of the Volvo brand and moving it in a new direction,” said Håkan Samuelsson, president and chief executive.

“It represents a fresh, creative and distinctive new member of the Volvo line-up. So it only feels natural to reveal the XC40 here in Milan, a buzzing European hotspot for fashion, art, design and lifestyle.”

In terms of technology, the XC40 brings the award-winning safety, connectivity and infotainment technologies known from the new 90- and 60 Series cars to the small SUV segment. Like its larger siblings, the XC40 highlights the transformational effect of these new, in-house developed technologies on brand and profitability.

These technologies make the XC40 one of the best-equipped small premium SUVs on the market. Safety and driver assistance features on the XC40 include Volvo Cars’ Pilot Assist system, City Safety, Run-off Road protection and mitigation, Cross Traffic alert with brake support and the 360° Camera that helps drivers manoeuvre their car into tight parking spaces.

The XC40 also offers a radically new approach to storage inside the car. Ingenious interior design provides XC40 drivers with, among other things, more functional storage space in the doors and under the seats, a special space for phones including inductive charging, a fold-out hook for small bags and a removable waste bin in the tunnel console.

From start of production, the XC40 will be available with a D4 diesel or a T5 petrol four-cylinder Drive-E powertrain. Further powertrain options, including a hybridised as well as a pure electric version, will be added later. The XC40 will also be the first Volvo model to be available with Volvo Cars’ new 3-cylinder engine.

Production of the new XC40 starts in Volvo Cars’ plant in Ghent, Belgium in November, while order books and the Care by Volvo subscription package are open for customers now.
